Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Loan Operations Specialist located in Jasper, TN. The Loan Operations Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, preparing, and maintaining loan documents, providing support for loan servicing activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The position requires effective communication with internal teams and customers, ensuring a high standard of customer service while assisting with loan-related inquiries and processing.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in working with Loan Documents and understanding of Loans processes
• Experience with Loan Servicing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for collaboration and customer interaction
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional Customer Service in a professional environment
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in banking systems and technology is desirable
• Prepare, review, and process loan documentation for various loan types (consumer, commercial, real estate, etc.).
• Monitor and manage escrow accounts, including tax and insurance disbursements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records for all collateralized loans.
• Ensure compliance with HMDA reporting requirements and assist with data collection and submission.
• Perform quality control checks on loan files to ensure completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with loan boarding and servicing functions in the core banking system.
• Perform Post Closing Review of Loan requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with Policy.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding loan documentation and servicing.
• Collaborate with loan officers, credit analysts, and compliance staff to support loan operations.
• Participate in audits and examinations by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Any other duties necessary as determined by direct manager.
• Prior experience in the finance or banking industry is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field preferred

Role Description:
The Universal Banker serves as the primary point of contact for
customers, providing a full range of banking services and delivering exceptional
customer experiences. This position combines the responsibilities of a traditional teller
and a personal banker, performing both transactional and relationship-building
functions. The Universal Banker actively engages customers to understand their
financial needs, opens and services deposit accounts, processes routine transactions,
cross-sells appropriate bank products and services, and ensures compliance with all
bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This roles requires strong
product knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. The Universal
Banker must be able to perform in a dual capacity – efficiently handling daily branch
operations while identifying opportunities to deepen customer relationships and support
the bank’s growth goals.
Direct Supervisor: Branch Manager or Relationship Manager
Location: Chattanooga Branch
Hours required: 40+
The main duties of the Universal Banker are:
• Be proficient in the opening of customer accounts including but not limited to
Demand Deposit Accounts, Savings, and Time Deposits.
• Ability to cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures and
sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
• Be proficient in the managing and maintenance of customer accounts.
• Be proficient in the position of a traditional teller – this will require knowledge
about how to balance a teller drawer and understand the importance of being in
balance.
• Support the consumer lending experience for your branches.
• Ensure the adherence and compliance of any and all regulations (Lending,
Deposit and Bank Secrecy Act).
• Be prepared to answer all customer questions or provide assistance.
• Be known as the market expert on financial matters.
• Be welcoming and cordial to all Tower customers and prospective customers.
• Know the bank’s products and services to better serve the customer and meet
their needs.
• Always act in a professional manner including but not limited to proper
professional dress, proper and professional phone etiquette, and proper
professional internal and external communication.
• Mentor and lead other team members through coaching, career planning, and
motivation.
• Act as the front line on providing exceptional customer service to all Tower
customers and lead by example with customer service in order to enforce
consistent high level customer service delivery to each customer.
• Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons
receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
• Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
• Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
• Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Accepts and counts inventories of cash, drafts, and travelers checks each day.
• Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential
records.
• Prepares monies for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve
Bank.
• All Universal Banker duties described above.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
• Thorough understanding of customer service.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; College degree preferred.
• Previous experience working directly with a bank or in customer service is
preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• May need to stand for long periods of time
